I found this document to be almost humorous. There is no base of support or any facts written to back this theory. In fact, if this so called Russian theory is correct then not only is the Earth filled with unimaginable oil reserves, but the moon would also be filled with Oil. Hmmm. I don’t think so!

Nope, my money still rides on Peak Oil theory. If the earth’s core was filled with cheap oil, there is no way any company would spend huge dollars extracting oil from expensive oil sands, oil shale, and deep ocean wells. Cheap oil is all but gone. There still are lots of reserves but at much higher costs to extract and refine. $100 / barrel oil will look cheap in the not so distant future. World energy demands are increasing at an alarming rate. China, India, Pakistan, just to name a few countries are just starting to increase their energy demands – and still they are only a fraction of the consumption that North America uses. Where will they be at in the next 10 years? 20 years? 50 years? Will these countries pay huge dollars as the price of oil continues to increase as suggested by simple supply vs. demand graphs? What if peak oil is real (and I can’t see how it can’t be) and supply is already at its peak (or past)? I believe these countries, along with western countries, will look for alternative energy sources.

With that said, my money is betting on a steady increase in nuclear energy over the coarse of... well for the rest of my life. It is the only real source that could produce the output of energy necessary to meet world demands. It is also comparatively cheep. If you were a member of say India’s energy ministry looking at providing for over 1.1 billion people I’m quite sure you would look at all your options!I’m not saying nuclear energy is right or wrong. I’m saying whether we like it or not, world wide nuclear energy is coming. Increase demands for uranium has already begun, but we haven’t seen anything yet. I also think our intelligent leaders of Kodiak also came to this conclusion. Our uranium division or spin off company may be worth its weight in gold. This is just another reason why I’m in KXL for the long haul. Of course right now gold is our story, but don’t forget what we have brewing in the background.
