There are plenty of places to stay in the Geraldton / Beardmore area. But...they are not 5-star hotels. Also, there are lots of outfitter establishments that cater to fishermen and hunters.

As mentioned earlier, anyone jetting in from Toronto or similar locales, will likely stay in Thunder Bay and drive up to the Jellicoe area. Depending on which KXL site they are visiting, that drive could be 2.5 to 3.5 hours - one way! The Hercules site is only 20 or 30 km from the highway depending the route taken. Knucklethumb is other 50 km further north on similar logging roads.

I just feel sorry for those guys - having to drive on those northern Ontario "highways". However, worse roads can be found in the 3rd world and downtown Edmonton!

Well my fellow KXLers, last week's price increase was nice to see. Here is hoping next week is equally uplifting.
