Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
I was also at the conference today. Good reporting by all. I would like to add a few more points
1) As reported, there are 8 confidentiality agreements in place with mid to major gold producers ("names that would be familiar to everyone in the room"). This allows them to see information we don't get until it is released to the markets - as they cannot buy stock. Brian says that they get about one visit every three weeks from one of these companies.
2) The $40m takes us to the end of 2009 and will leave $20m in the bank going foward from there.
3) From page 6 in the posted presentation Brian mentioned that the first 5 geoligists noted had 150 years experience between them. I liked that not only for the experience (important in this business) but also because I'm sure they weren't hurting for work when they joined the company.
4) If you refer to page 16 of the presentation, which shows the two newly deepened prongs open at depth, if the "periodisity" holds true (that is that these prongs are at semi-regular intervals) one could imagine another prong to the north west of the lake. That is where 12 drill assays are pending. These holes show hydro thermal alteration with width increasing at depth. Even picture 14 shows very similar structure in this new extension to The Golden Mile. Brian said that arrow was about 3 metres across.
5) Lateral trenches are being made between The Golden Mile and the Yellow Brick Road. (I wonder what that might turn up).
6) Maki is about 30 km south of Hercules. What initially got Brian excited was "the sheer size of the thing". Last week they found another 200 metres that looks even better that the 400 metres they originally discovered!
7) Sturgeon Bridge (p36) - "excellent open pit potential."
8) Gold Rush Zone (p37) - Same orientation as The Golden Mile and the age of the rocks are within 2 million years. Only 2 holes have been sunk so far.
9) One of the most active programs in Canada and it is funded.
We talked a good deal about strategy going forward but I'll save that for another post.
Regards
Kohai
