Well, on the bright side. Since the management is already packed full of experts and these are only options, not shares the only possible choice is for them to do what they can to boost the SP.

No SP boost, no retirement.

If I were given 1.5m in options I'd be out in the trenches every day scrubbing the rocks with a toothbrush if that's what it took ;)
