I see the confusion…. I think…
In the interview I was referring to selling prices/revenues. Small orders, university samples, etc. are at the high end…large long-term orders are at the low end.
Your original question was: “…The recent announcement regarding the economics of NexGen were fantastic, and it got me wondering if numbers referenced in the interview were based on the NexGen costs and production rate, or the previous generation of the tech?”
The numbers referenced in the interview were revenues and not based on any costs. However, what you might find interesting…and I am not saying anything that is not public…the costs that were the basis of the contract under discussion were based on the old system and not NexGen…i.e. old system=higher costs.
