Dear looploop,
At first glance, we do not believe that we could use PUREVAP™ to produce silicon nanowires directly. Many methods exist to produce the nanowires such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD), Molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), Vapor liquid solid (VLS) mechanism, etc. (1). The feedstream to making nanowires is often not silicon metal, but silicon containing molecules such as SiH4, SiO or SiO2. It also appears that very high purity (electronic grade 9N) would be required for the most useful applications of the nanowires, which is not attainable with PUREVAP.

Does that help?
