Short answer is that yes, we are aware of these programs and are on top of most of them.  Many don’t apply, or require some sort of a consortium sharing IP set up that we are not interested in.  Others require a DD on our IP and what we are “improving” on …no go there as well.

Don’t forget that over the years we did tap into the biggest fund...and arguably hardest to get into: The US Government’s support of our torch development to, in the end, provide a system for their air craft carriers, and yes, it did provide all the benefits you spoke about in your post: visibility, credibility…and business.

We keep looking out for the right fit between us and the program.  We are not really interested in getting away from our strategy just to get funding for something we are not interested in doing.

(Benjy1234, if you really peel back the onion for a second, you will see that we essentially fund development while working a commercial setting. i.e.  with large commercial companies that fund our development…much better partner…much more focused outcome…so PyroGenesis.)
