Hah, I debated using that word, "friend", and figured someone would have an issue.

Perhaps I should have gone a bit further and said:

If you are a day trader/short seller/fast action guy... Makers can potentially cut into your "action" a bit but if you are a buy and hold and one day sell investor, they provide both liquidity and a tight spread for you to do so without overpaying to get in or underprofiting when you decide to get out.

How's that?
