Olderguy,
Your statements and questions resemble that of a basher, as oppose to someone who wants legitimate information. Pyro has been clear that when renewable electricity is used the GHG emissions from induration torches is reduced to virtually nothing. Your statement is, quite frankly, absurd. Grade school teaches that you cannot get something from nothing and energy is neither created or destroyed but rather transformed.
Fossil fuel burners transform the stored energy from diesel fuel into heat, which emits large amounts of CO2. If the plasma torches received their electricity from coal fired power plants then there would be no saving on GHG as they are still burning fossil fuels to obtain the same electricity. The fact you would even post such an ignorant statement speaks volumes to who you are and how you conduct yourself. If the electricity source is renewable ie. Hydro like so many have pointed out with Vale then the end result is no GHG. Same is true with wind, nuclear, solar, tidal etc.
Perhaps you are actually being inquisitive, in which case please do a touch of research before you post. The way you are posting now only leaves the reader to assume one of two options, one you are not intelligent and on the other side of that spectrum, or two you do have some brains and are trying to manipulate and bash. I guess the third option is you're trying to antagonize Peter to the point where he says something perhaps he shouldn't. Honestly, based on those choices I hope you're a basher, as that is the only true hope for you to see the error of your ways and try to become a better person.
