The ability to provide high heat in an inert atmosphere might yield a future market in the nuclear industry for sure.  All industries that use natural gas can immediately remove byproduct contaminants by going to Pyro torches.  It will ultimately boil down to the engineering and considerations of uninterrupted power supply.  This past week in Texas was a reminder that grid instability is a major issue to industry and the public.
