Hello Peter,
In my limited knowledge of the mining world regarding Titanium, I am wondering where (what form is it in) Pyro gets the titanium feedstock that is used in the NexGen to produce the powders?
It looks to me that a large part of the cost is getting the raw mined titanium into a state such as an ingot so that it can then be used for various other AM processes and general manufacturing.
Assuming I have a rough understanding, my question is regarding reducing the costs of producing powders even further, would it be feasible to develop a lower cost method to get the raw titanium to the ingot stage? Is that something that can be achieved with the use of a plasma torch based process?
Thank you and stay safe down there,
Claude
