The announcement that the company had received approval to repurchase up to 5,000,000 shares  was back on Jan 12, 2022. They had exercised this ability a few other times this year already. So no need for another news release, and yes would be nice to have at least 2,000,000 shares cancelled as that will make the shares we all own worth more
