Canada’s 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP) — issued under the Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act — came out today.
First impression: wow, there is a lot here for Pyrogenesis to love.
There's money for: increased landfill gas recovery; renewable natural gas; electrification of iron and steel; to incentivize EV purchases (hello HPQ); green aluminum (Rio Tinto mentioned); CCUS; renewable electrification of heavy industy, generally (so there will be a grid to power PYR torches in whatever industry); R&D (hello PYR and HPQ); hydrogen; low carbon oil and gas; and more.
Oh, and carbon pricing.
It's just very promising all around. This ERP deserves a deeper dive. (It is 271 pages long, so will take time to digest.)
