I wonder how the cheerleaders are going to spin this one. Everyone who has followed the story knows that the torches can do the same job/potentially melt a cleaner product. The test essentially said nothing new that we didn't already know, but only added increased doubt to the long-term viability of plasma.

The fact remains that; Torches need clean renewable electricity to be viable and only a handful of furnaces in the world have access to this much power. PYR clearly hasnt been able to solve the nitrogen problem and this likely explains why Vale and Rio are taking so long or have given up on testing. This actually makes way more sense now. I always wondered why companies weren't adopting this tech quicker even though Peter and Co. kept saying that they have the best/most practical/cheapest green solution to diesel burners.
