Message: Political risk

The "political" risk of this play isn't going to go away easily. While this may not gain any traction it confirms politics is going to be the biggest risk going forward:

MONTREAL — Less than a week after it was made public, the online petition calling on Premier Jean Charest to resign has reached more than 200,000 signatures.

By Sunday afternoon, more than 209,000 people had signed the petition, which is posted on the National Assembly website.

The petition was launched last Monday by the Mouvement citoyen national du Quebec, a group formed in opposition to the Quebec government’s 2010 budget.

It calls on Charest to resign because he has not called an inquiry into links between party financing and the issuing of government contracts, nor put in place a moratorium on shale-gas development in Quebec.
