...Perhaps the Quebec Goverment should be looking into an alternate tax plan for the upcoming 10 or so years if they decide to let the Shale plays stay in the ground instead of using their own resources?

Say, a 50% or so tax raise for newspapers and other media companies?

Heck, take a vote, and all who are against Shale gas can get a tax hike to cover the future tax revenue drop.

'Gotta earn the green' would then be PM's new song (pun intended).

That'll get most of the public on the right track again methinks. :)
