Stéphane Robert
CEO
Mr. Robert graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the University of Laval in 1987. An expert in geophysics, Mr. Robert worked on different exploration project in Canada and in western Africa. He participated in the financing and acquisition of mining properties and other industrial projects for several public and private companies. Mr. Robert implemented the refinancing of Raymor Industries in 1996. He became President of Raymor in 1997. Since becoming CEO of Raymor, he has forged a team of leading experts and has gathered the necessary financing ($30M) for the acquisition and the development of technologies for the production of advanced materials and nanomaterials for value-added applications. As well, he has negotiated several partnerships, including agreements with SOQUEM (1998), McGill University (1999) and IRNS (2005). Mr. Robert is the founding president of AP&C Advanced Powders & Coatings Inc, Raymor Nanotech Inc., and Raymor Aerospace Inc..
René Caron
Financial Officer & Director
Mr. Caron holds a B.A.A.in Management Information System and a certificate in accounting in 1989 from the University of Sherbrooke. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation and became a member of the “Ordre des Comptables Agréé du Québec” in 1992. Mr. Caron worked for over three years for the accounting firm KPMG as an external auditor. In 1992, he resigned and became Director of Finance for Construction Capital Inc., a main developer of multiple residential and commercial projects in the greater Montreal region. In 1995, Mr. Caron became Senior Financial Consultant for Inno-Centre Inc, where he became a key player in developing new businesses and opportunities for several companies in “high technology”. In 1999, he joined Quebecor Printing Inc., a division of Quebecor World Inc. as Senior Internal Auditor. In 2002, he was appointed Vice-President of Finance - Specialty Printing Group, where he oversaw seven specilized printing locations across Canada and the USA. In 2003, Mr. Caron joined Zenon Environmental Inc. as Director - Internal Audits. With his extensive background, Mr. Caron was responsible for the implementation of new internal regulations at Zenon in order to comply with the US Sarbanes Oxley Act and BILL 198 in Canada.
Florent Baril
Secretary / Treasurer
Mr. Baril graduated from Laval University (Quebec City) in metallurgical engineering, in 1954. His career spans over 40 years, including 25 years in the consulting engineering industry where he managed several feasibility studies for mining projects in Canada, South America, as well as northern and western Africa. These projects involved the extraction of precious metals, base metals and industrial minerals. The studies included the assessment of geological and mining reserves, the design of open pit and underground mining methods, the development of mineral processing techniques, investment and operating cost analysis, project management, and financial analysis. In 1994, Mr. Baril founded Bumigème Inc., a Montreal based consulting engineering firm of which he is principal shareholder and president.
Michel Baril
Director
Mr. Baril holds a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Montreal, and is a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec. After working three years for General Electric of Canada, Mr. Baril joined Bombardier in 1979 as Head of Quality Assurance with the Public Transportation Division. In 1982, he was promoted to Director of Quality Assurance. In 1988, he was appointed Vice-President of the Engineering, R&D, Quality Assurance and Sales Support Department of the Railway and Diesel Products Division. In 1990, he was appointed Vice-President of Operations of Bombardier's Transportation Group for North America. Four years later, he became Executive Vice-President, Technologies and Business Development, and in 1996 he was appointed President of the Public Transportation Division, responsible for all the Transportation Group's activities in Canada and in the U.S. In 1998, he was appointed Executive Vice-President of Bombardier Aeronautics, in charge of supply and manufacturing activities for Canadair, de Havilland, Learjet, and Shorts. In 2000, Mr. Baril took on the position of Executive Vice-President of Bombardier Transport, responsible for the group's entire worldwide operations. In 2001, Mr. Baril was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Bombardier Recreational Products, where he remained until his departure in November 2003. Mr. Baril sits on the Board of Directors of Developpement Economique Longueuil, GL&V, and Manac.
John Mavridis
Director
Mr. Mavridis is an attorney, practicing business law with an emphasis on helping business leaders develop their projects from conception to financing (in both private and public markets) and commercialization. He has also assisted business leaders in navigating growth, reorganizations and restructuring by taking a strategic view of legal, business, labor and political firms. He has represented private and public companies in diverse fields of high technology ), communications, biotechnology and mining. Mr. Mavridis holds both a Bachelor and Master degrees in Laws from the University of Montreal and is a member of the Bar of Quebec.
Richard Boudreault
Director
Mr. Boudreault currently directs a firm specialized in financing high technology ventures. Prior to this he was CTO and head of strategy at ART, a public firm traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol ARA. Mr. Boudreault has participated in bringing more than six firms public since 1997. He previously was a Venture Advisor in the SOFINOV Venture Capital Group of the Caisse de dépot et placement du Québec du (CDP) where he was directly responsible in the financing of high technology ventures. Prior to this, he was CEO of Centre Technologique Aérospatial and managing director of Oerlikon Aerospace. Mr. Boudreault is a graduate of the University of Montreal in Physics, of Cornell University in Aerospace Engineering and holds an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke. He sits on the Board of Directors of other ventures and organization.
