Resverlogix Corp. (TSE:RVX) is a leading biotechnology company developing novel drugs for the treatment of high-risk cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease via ‘epigenetics’ - modifications of gene expression without altering DNA sequence. Their lead drug candidate apabetalone (RVX-208) is currently in a Phase 3 clinical trial ‘BETonMACE’ for high-risk cardiovascular disease patients with T2 diabetes mellitus to reduce the incidence of Major Adverse Cardiac Events (MACE) in this sick patient group. 15% of patients will also have renal disease.
