GP - My understanding is that BETonMACE is an event driven trial that requires 250 3 point MACE events to have the statistical numbers required to be successful, mostly. The trial was designed around previous trials and the number of events reached in those trials. BDAZ and others have given us many reasons for potential variances around the timelines that the company had suggested. Certainly time to the first 3pt event is a risk, that is what this trial is messuring. In my limited understanding, at this point the longer it takes to get to 250 3pt events the better off we are. The only thing I can see that may change this 250 event number is if the trial was halted early because apabetalone was working to well. They could run into a situation where it would be ethically wrong to not have everyone in the trial on the drug. That is a very long shot but could be very exciting for the shareholders, if it ever happened. This sitting and waiting is challenging for all of us. Hang in there man.
