Message: NASH is a $35 Billion US/year market

Topcoin,

Serum alkaline phosphatase (APL) can be elevated in many diseases and can be derived from many different tissues. In NASH, it is liver derived ALP. But in other diseases the ALP is derived from other tissues such as kidney, bone, intestine, and other tissues. The ALP in NASH and CKD are from different tissues sources. Is there any evidence that apabetalone lowers liver derived ALP? If not, then it would be pure speculation that apabetalone--mediated changes in serum ALP are related to NASH or other liver diseases.
