Hi Pomp,
Before BDAZ answers your post, here is 3 things you didnt account for:
1) Median doesnt mean average
2) You included deceased people in your calculation (275 people should be out at some point)
3) 2425 patients is the number before dropouts. They dont contribute to the patient years once they drop.
I think it is safer to take the 4800 patient years estimation from the paper and BDAZ calculations. 275/4800 = 5.7 events per 100 patient years. If the placebo rate is 7, then it means apabetalone arm is at 4.4. 37% RRR.
So many variables, we should spot talking about it. I believe its going to be good, because I feel we have buffers here and there. Like paladin, I have ''faith''.
