First, because it was a drug that raised apo-AI and HDL-C and excitement for cardio risk due to enhanced reverse cholesterol transport, etc. Then the story got a lot more interesting once it was announced to be a BD-2 selective BET inhibitor that engaged many other cardioprotective pathways.
