To me the best “dumb downed” version regarding the workings of Apabetalone is the computer analogy that DM has used many times. DNA is the hardware and the epigenome, where Apabetalone operates, is the software. I actually thought I heard at one of the company presentations that Apabetalone “cooled” the activity of most of the genes in its sphere of influence but did also, in a good way, heat up the activity of a few. I seem to recall a poster a while back that supports that but on a cursory look can’t find it now so I might be mistaken.
