CCD - A BP buyout would be my preference. After having been through a couple situations where little biotech's had success and then went on to marketing the product on their own, no thanks. There is a definitive window for patent life. To maximize this opportunity IMO it would be best and most profitable for the full circle to put this product into the hands of a company with feet on the ground now. BP has trained sales forces with relationships that have been built over many years. Not only trained sales forces but marketing departments, regulatory experience and so on and so on. The time and cost to build a sales force and those relationships and the slowness of getting to peak sales IMO would cost way more than what shareholders could get out of this in a fairly priced buyout today and then look for other high leverage opportunities with the proceeds.
