Message: Re: Question on Rosuvastatin versus Astorvastatin

If the study is designed to scrutinize the benefit of combining apabetalone with statins overall, and with either Crestor or Lipitor individually and specifically, while also looking at the safety profiles of each combination specifically, and while also comparing each/both combinations with placebo ... then I would hope that if one statin stands out as highly beneficial (and the other does not) in combination with apabetalone it would/could/should lead to panel review for that combination.

In my mind a successful and superior result of one combination over the other should be good news for BoM and "maybe" bad news on the future market share of the trailing statin?

Yeah, what do I know though haha ... life is full of woulda/coulda/shoulda's ... but that just makes TOO MUCH SENSE to me, especially since the statins are specifically broken out by product, by design, for specific study and analytics, across multiple indications and disease states. I could definitely see the desire and need for additional study, but it would seem a shame to hold back a "winner" combination for very sick patients who could benefit form a specific studied/verified combination.
