When I sent the NYT article to DM on March 18, DM indicated that RVX was in contact with the researchers and that a public announcement would be made.  So, it is possible that apabetalone was in the initial set of 10 drugs that was sent for testing (or was sent shortly thereafter).  Dr. Shokat was just giving nothing away (since it was really up to RVX to disclose the news) when Golf contacted him.  Resverlogix published the news release inviting partnerships to explore the use of apabetalone to treat covid on March 23rd.
