Well the discussions will likely include assessments of what the BTD is actually worth.

And a fantastic reference point for this is a recent study of the market cap of FDA BTD companies. A market cap is a discounted value of anticipated future earnings. 

The analysis shows that even companies holding a single BTD for a rare disease (ie small limited market) was garnering market caps of a minimum $8 billion US.   

We have a BTD in a MASSIVE market, and potential for many more markets, so for lets say just for reference that our BTD inidcation is worth $10 Bllion US today ($50+ RVX SP equivalent).  Would that not elicite much more engaged negotiations and/or the potential to foment an auction atmosphere for a piece of Apabetalone?
