Or, Don could have passed on some material non-public information to mollify their concerns. Or, told the supplier that if a partnership is sgned, the supplier would receive the full value of what is due, rather than a discounted value. What is the incentive to the supplier for not triggering a default? It only makes business sense to protect their (the suppliers) capital.
I highly doubt that the supplier would have been swayed by listening to Don's last presentation. It would have had to have been something discussed on a one-on-one.
...and just to clarify, there is nothing wrong with sharing material non-public information, as long as a person or entity does not trade the underlying security while that information has yet to be publicly disclosed.
...and by the way...we're only talking about $1.1M here, so come on...dilution my ***
