I feel like that RVX is Don's last project before his retirement. So, he doesn't care how long it takes to make it happen. Only thing concerns him is maximizing his profit. As long as he can retire with the explosive profit, he wouldn't mind doing another decade of managing RVX project.

Secondly, they should go after COVID-19 long haulers, potentially for long-term treatment (like months, if not years). There would be a tsunami of COVID-19 long-hautlers, which could be potential target patients for RVX.
