From my memory there was a long term belief in the SH days that Ken Dart told Dr Wong that he would fund RVX through to the completion (of trials I assume).

Not sure how this belief started but I was a bit surprised when Hepalink stepped in and seemed to take over. I seem to recall that Eastern may have done some small private placements in RVX (perhaps Zenith) but I could not find them in my brief search.

Anyway, I do find it odd that Eastern seemed to have lost their enthusiasm. At least that is my interpretation of it. Please straighten me out if you have better insight.

In my search I saw that the first NR regarding RVX's Covid intent was on June 1, 2020. The clock is ticking.
