I think she is making a "timing" commentary by framing it as "for this wave", i.e. Omicron.  The piece indicated that Emergency Authorization would be applied for maybe in June. 

From what I have heard this Omicron wave is peaking as we speak and should soon be completely displaced by the newest variant that is spreading 1.5 faster than Omicron and is already in about half the states.  

It would be nice if the trial were to have a fairly even representation of Omicron and the new variant so that we can show evidence of the "effectiveness on any variant" aspect of apabetalone.
