great commets tada, especially about bp being concerned that apabetalone would render many of their existing drugs unneeded, its better if a drug causes side issues that require even more drugs because money money money as abba used to sing.  they'd buy rvx but they can't pay huge money or people would want the drug they bought developed, but they can take it over for two or three billion usa money and  then drag their heels
