Thanks BKC.
One thing stood out very early in the paper "BETs are being explored as targets for a number of cancers13. These proteins are known to be master transcriptional regulators and serve to bridge chromatin marks (mostly acetyl-lysines) to the transcriptional machinery14. RVX has been aware of this for about 10 years now. Maybe that 7 or 10 year lead that DM talks about is not to far out. Also interesting is that the University of Nebraska chose to do their study on lung cells about a year and a half ahead of these guys as well. What's even more interesting is that the group of 27 Universities was able to pick ABL up as one of the 20,000 drugs they studied and place it at #2 out of the 68 top candidates about 2 years before this study began. This CRISPRi technologies is interesting and scary at the same time which I guess, is no different than how some people view our technology.
