IMO - Contacting the regulators is the last thing that needs to be done. The only thing that will immediately transpire is a halt on the stock. That in turns stops all liquidity for everyone.
Don't get me wrong, you are correct in every way of your thinking golfyeti, but achieving a halt is what has happened to a couple of companies I've had experience with in this situation in the past.
Anyone who fully believes the company will not report by tomorrow morning may want to look for the exit door immediately.
Personally I'm not looking for the exit door today but keep in mind the track record I've just revealed. In both instances I've came out with nothing.
