Any company that has long term success, usually has developed strong ties with and gives back to their local community. I think with the lack of qualified miners available over the last few years, they were forced to try and do too much locally. A strong vibrant company is going to be able to hire and train a lot more people and give a lot more back to the community.
Wouldn't it be nice to be pulling 200k out of the ground, flush with cash and have a seperate local training program that educates and trains local people in mining and THEN feeds them into the operation?
