If you haven't heard the Michael Levi segment on CKNW this morning I think it is important that all of us goldbugs tune in. I generally don't like Michael Levi's analysis and opinions, however in this case he is giving anecdotal evidence from the eyes and ears of a gold dealer(he owns border brokers) that buys and sells physical metal. I have posted the link to the site and if you want to hear his entire segment it starts after the news at about 9:07. If you are too busy just go to the 9:15 AM and listen to the most interesting part. I recommend the whole segment that is only about 10 minutes as it gives some context. The player is very easy to use as you simply confirm the date Dec.29 scroll to 9am and click on listen. Then move the slide bar to the exact minutes you are interested in.
For those that have no time to hear it for themselve you can take my word and I will repeat what he said. His comment:
"We had one of the worlds major gold dealers in the United States trying to borrow gold from us that they had sold and couldn't get delivery on time and they wanted to borrow ounces from us"
