I know they have to connect up to one of the old shafts to have as an escape shaft before they can mine. But that doesn't make the Sinker part of the other claim. Any ore mined from the Sinker itself should not have to pay royalties to GHDC. Only ore mined from the GHDC claim and then transported through the Sinker should be subject to the double royalty. The mere act of connection shouldn't give GHDC a claim on the Sinker. In fact I think that RK was asked this question a while ago (whether there would be a double royalty), and his response was that there would not be. In fact, I think his reply was that that no ore would be subject to a double royalty. I hope that whoever was told that got it in writing and can still find it.
