Message: trip to war eagle mountain and mill

Went to a wedding in CUNA,Idaho, just a few miles this side of Melba this weekend. Melba is where Bobby Jo lives. Stoped by for awhile to chat, Bobby hadnt been to the mountain for about two months,so he couldnt tell me to much other than he is still holding on. So the next day i headed up to the mill and mountain, it was on sunday, weather was nice and warm and very littla snow. Got to the mill it was not running, only 3 security trucks and one frontend loader, There were 3 large piles of ground up ore big and the pile of ore from war eagle mountain was down to a small pile, not much left. The lab room and the rest of the building had another fence of razor wire around it. The 30,000 tons of ore that needs to be rerun didnt look like they had started useing much of it, maybe still testing the floatation tanks. I think the big smelter RK had been standing by is still setting in the yard. I did take some pics of what i could see from the fence, dont think much has changed from the last pics posted, but will post then later this week. Tried to make it to the tunnel, but the mud was real wet and sloppy, from all the traffic, there was very little snow and none on the road didnt want to get stuck or slide of the road so didnt go up. Will be going up in June so will let you know what i see then. Did talk to a local and he said that they are working in the tunnel and have been for a while, i ask twice to make sure of what he said. Well i know this isnt much to report to you guys and wish i had gone on up the mountain, but my wife does not do to well on mountain roads or going over 55 on a main road. they lock the road to the tunnell this time of year or you have a key or you have to walk a 1/2 mile or more to get to the tunnel, thats what i did last year......cowboy
