Peter G. Meredith
Position: Director, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Meredith is a seasoned executive with a strong background in corporate management and in key facets of the mining industry, including exploration, mine construction, financing and operations. He has been a director of SouthGobi Energy Resources (formerly Asia Gold) since it went public in December, 2003. He is Ivanhoe Mines' deputy chairman, overseeing the company's business development and corporate relations. Mr. Meredith joined the Ivanhoe Group in 1996 and was chief financial officer of Ivanhoe Mines prior to his appointment as deputy chairman. A chartered accountant, he previously spent 31 years with Deloitte and Touche LLP.
John Macken
Position: Director, Chairman of the Board

Mr. Macken is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ivanhoe Mines. Mr. Macken joined Ivanhoe in November, 2003, after a 19-year career with mining giant, Freeport McMoran Copper and Gold, most recently as Freeport's senior vice-president of strategic planning and development, based in New Orleans. He spent a total of 13 years with Freeport's operating unit, P.T. Freeport Indonesia (PTFI), culminating in the position of executive vice-president and general manager at Freeport's Grasberg mining complex in Papua, the world's largest single copper and gold mine. As SouthGobi Energy Resources continues to evolve toward production, the appointment of Mr. Macken as chairman secures proven leadership service and extensive operating experience.
Gene Wusaty
Position: Chief Operating Officer

Prior to becoming the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Wusaty was the President of Ivanhoe Mines' Coal Division from November, 2005. Prior to joining Ivanhoe Mines, Mr. Wusaty served as Vice President and COO of Grande Cache Coal Corporation. He is a professional mining engineer with 25 years of mining-related operational experience, with responsibilities in underground and open-pit coal mining and coal-fired power generation operations in Alberta and British Columbia. In the coal industry he has worked for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., Elk Valley Coal Corp., Fording Coal Ltd., Quintette Coal Ltd. and Grande Cache Coal Corporation in various positions including Mine Manager and Manager of Engineering.
Terry Krepiakevich
Position: Chief Financial Officer

From 2000 to 2006 Mr. Krepiakevich was Chief Financial Officer for Extreme CCTV Inc., a publicly traded company on the TSX involved in manufacturing high tech surveillance equipment. From 1988 to 2000, Mr. Krepiakevich was Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Maynards Industries Ltd.,a private firm specializing in retailing, auctioneering, liquidating, and mergers and acquisition services. Prior to his position with Maynards, Mr. Krepiakevich was a senior officer in a number of private and public issuers. He is a Chartered Accountant and was employed with the international accounting firm Peat Marwick Thorne (KPMG), where he worked with a number of companies in mining and related industries.
Richard Gosse
Position: Vice President Exploration, Metals Division

Mr. Gosse has over 25 years of international experience in mineral exploration, including 10 years in Asia. Prior to joining SouthGobi Energy Resources, Mr. Gosse held senior exploration management positions with Anglo American plc and BHP-Billiton in China and India. He holds a B.Sc. Hons. in Geology from Queen's University, Canada, and a M.Sc. in Mineral Exploration from the Royal School of Mines, London, UK.
Beverly A. Bartlett
Position: Vice President & Corporate Secretary

Ms. Bartlett is the Vice President and Corporate Secretary for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. and Ivanhoe Energy Inc. Ms. Bartlett is also the Corporate Secretary for Jinshan Gold Mines and the Compliance Manager for Global Mining Management Corp. Prior to that she was Corporate Secretary for Credit Union Central of Canada.
Steven Feldman
Position: Manager, Investor Relations

Mr. Feldman has been with SouthGobi Energy Resources since 2005. Mr. Feldman has more than seven years experience providing investor relations and corporate communications counsel to public companies in the resource sector. Additionally, Mr. Feldman spent over six years as an Investment Advisor with two Canadian brokerage firms and has completed the CSC (Canadian Securities Course).
Pierre B. Lebel
Position: Lead Independent Director

Mr. Lebel is Chairman and a Director of Imperial Metals Corporation, a mine developer and operator with whom he has been associated for over 20 years. He has been involved in the development of other junior mining companies and has a substantial background in the mineral development industry. Mr. Lebel also serves as Chairman and Trustee of Home Equity Income Trust, Chairman and Director of Jinshan Gold Mines Inc., and as Director of Ashton Mining of Canada Inc. and zed.i solutions inc. Mr. Lebel has an MBA from McMaster University and an LLB from the University of Western Ontario.
André H. Deepwell

Mr. Deepwell is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the University of British Columbia. Mr. Deepwell has been the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of a number of natural resource companies over the last ten years and is currently Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Imperial Metals Corporation. Mr. Deepwell has been involved in all aspects of debt and equity financings and financial reporting for mining enterprises ranging from grassroots exploration to mine development and production.
R. Edward Flood

Mr. Flood is currently Managing Director, Investment Banking, Haywood Securities (UK) limited. Mr. Flood was previously the Deputy Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines and was Ivanhoe's founding President. Mr. Flood has over 35 years of experience in the international mining field has helped guide Ivanhoe's growth and established the company as a significant presence in Asia's mineral exploration and mining sectors. Prior to joining Ivanhoe, Mr. Flood was a principal at Robertson Stephens & Co., an investment bank in San Francisco, USA. He was a member of the Robertson Stephens' investment team for the Contrarian Fund, a public mutual fund concentrated on natural resources development projects around the world. Mr. Flood has held the position of senior mining analyst with a prominent Canadian securities firm. He holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in Geology.
Stuart (Tookie) Angus

Tookie Angus is an independent business advisor to the mining industry. He was most recently Managing Director -- Mergers & Acquisitions for Endeavour Financial. Prior to joining Endeavour Financial, he was a partner at the Canadian law firm Fasken Martineau DuMoulin and headed that firm's Global Mining Group. Mr. Angus has focused on significant international exploration, development and mining ventures, and all aspects of their structuring and finance, for more than 25 years.
Robert Hanson

Robert Hanson, a director of Ivanhoe Mines, is the Chairman of UK-based Hanson Capital Limited and the Hanson Transport Group Limited. Formerly an Associate Director of N.M Rothchild & Sons, Mr. Hanson also was a main board director of Hanson Plc, and of its former subsidiary, Peabody Coal, with a specific responsibility for mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hanson's international experience in corporate finance and in the coal, construction, mining and building sectors will be an asset to the board of SouthGobi Energy Resources.
