I, in fact, do think that money managers can and do manipulate stocks at times. However, SPQ is so far below the radar screen, any MM would have to have a Dr. Stranglove maniacal obsession brought on by drinking too much McFauld's muskeg to conceive of maninpulating any portion of the 284+ million shares of a company worth $35 million!
However, if SPQ goes ballistic to $5 (a lovely thought!) you might see some MMs salivating at how they might relieve me of the 50,000 shares I tried to buy today at 12 cents. Since I didn't get them, he would have to scavenge elsewhere. Too bad (sigh).
