Here's the link to the original 2006 release from Spider on the SPQ/KWG/FWR PGM (Platinum group of minerals) discovery with holes FW-06-02, FW-06-03, FW-06-04. This discovery is close to the Double Eagle strike. This proximity is probably one reason for the reassessment of the drill cores.

The holes being reviewed by Freewest are FW-06-03 and FW-06-04. (FW-06-02 yielded nothing of value). Here's a quote from the release: "This Chrome-Platinum-Palladium discovery is the first of its kind in the McFauld Lake area of northern Ontario." The results from FW-06-03 and FW-06-04 were terrific.
I think (my thoughts only) that the reassessment might be due to the TDEM aerial survey now being done over The Ring of Fire.
Here's a clue from the 2006 report: The second hole FW-06-03 was designed to test an earlier identified VTEM (airborne electromagnetic) anomaly.
The question is: Will the TDEM survey (vs. the VTEM) identify more closely what, where, and how much, PGM/gold/nickel/copper is in the group. If the extent of the PGM discovery is found by TDEM to cover a large area, then SPQ/KWG/FWR are laughing.
Moreover, some good news in this regard would fill the news void between now and sometime in the 1Q08 when some winter 2008 drilling results start to come.
Either way, I think this reassessment will help Spider's share price to a modest degree. (New drill holes with excellent results will make SPQ go ballistic.) Another nice thought is that clearly SPQ/KWG/FWR are working together on this. Everyone will win with a strong partnership.
It's great to hear from CChiesel. What are you doing up in Fort Hope? It's great to have an SPQer with feet on the ground in the north.
