Rundle...

I checked the SPQ volumes on Dec. 28 (3.3+ million) and Dec. 29. (4.8+ million).  They were elevated relative to the volumes on the previous and following days.

Now I didn't check to see the individual trades on those days to see if there were any very large trades (e.g. million plus).  If there was, I might suspect something was up.  But since the volumes have settled, and the SP has trended sideways, the SP spike remains a mystery.

When I visited the Richmond Club and heard Richard Nemis talk offline, both he and Neil Novak mentioned the "visual" of the drill core for Hole #18.  Clearly they were both very impressed.

However, as all of us have noted, even a stellar assay result for that same Hole #18, has not moved the markets.  As the story of McFauld's Lake Ring of Fire matures, an individual assay result is just not enough to significantly spike share prices and keep them up.

Fortunately, all of the juniors will soon be drilling and making line cuts.  More money will be raised for exploration (although I don't think SPQ will be part of this), and the drill bit will continue to find terrific results.  Hang tight.  2008 will be great.
