This has been discussed before.  Novak does not get a salary, he is paid in shares/options.  If he wants to eat, he has to sell shares to do so.  He currently owns something in the neighbourhood of 6 million shares - 110k is a drop in the bucket.

There is also a discussion of Peter Smith selling FNC on the ML board.  Same deal there.  Both of these insiders got their shares at bargain prices.  Selling them to put bread on the table is not a big deal.   

There is no gloom and doom needed when an insider trades.  There are regulations that will place them in jail if they are selling ahead of bad news (google Martha Stewart for example).
