Teck Cominco bought a junior copper play today. They're a possible Canadian player in any discussions of "take-outs" at McFaulds.

Although I haven't heard that they are staking at the Ring of Fire, I strongly suspect that they have signed an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) with Noront. I had heard elsewhere that they have already been up to McFaulds.

I also think that the present Canadian government would be partial towards an investment by Canada's only "major" at this time. Besides, I think Don Lindsay (CEO, Teck) still has lots of money, and his war chest is growing (20% of Teck's cash flow is from coal).
