Message: Could this good stuff happen to SPQ?

Nicholas1 ...

I will respond to your questions. My responses are my opinions only. Do not take them for the gospel truth.

Does consolidation mean that SPQ wants to remove all the small stockholders who buy and sell the other day with a profit?

No. I doubt whether Neil Novak (CEO) wants to remove small stockholders. Every stockholder is an investor - the life blood of an equity. However, speculators and day traders are another issue -although they want to make a profit too. In my opinion, they have a far different "raison d'etre" than the longer term investor. (See my comments below.)

Fantomas has posted today some important information which includes - the proposed Consolidation addresses the dilutive consequences of a large outstanding number of Common Shares. Some investors don't agree with this point; others do. "Dilution" in this context has to be taken in consideration with the second part of the statement. (see below)

A possibility is then that SPQ coming up with something new. Or found something. Or is for sale, maybe?

I think it's important to read the Spider Resources Annual Report 2007. It is found on SEDAR:

http://www.sedar.com/homepage_en.htm Many investors believe that Spider Resources joint ventures (JVs) are the key to its success. The present JV with Freewest and KWG on the Freewest Option is a example of this strategy. Reduce expenses; share expertise.

Or the other thing...the volume is then only 1/10th. And the price is going down to p.e. from 0.80 to 0.20? Is this right? Because it is all in the game, isn't?

If a consolidation takes place, volume may go down because of a higher share price. However, the more important part of Fantomas' posting is this:

Management is also of the view that the Consolidation would address the concern that low prices create larger bid / ask spreads which encourages non-synergistic, low value speculative trading and volatility which is unrelated to news and developments within the Company.

If anything, and Spider Resources management is correct, volume may go up.

Low value speculative trading at share prices lower than 10 cents, which unrelated to any good news releases, is "non-synergistic" and is killing share price - IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT'S IN THE GROUND NOR THE ONGOING EXPLORATION STRATEGY OF SPIDER RESOURCES. So because of this, the truly interested investor is now shying away from buying because of scewed and speculative day trading. [Easy to do at 8 cents.]

(By the way, P/E [price/earnings] isn't in the equation at this time because Spider Resources has no earnings.)

A big point: If Spider Resources, Freewest, & KWG hit something really big on the Freewest Option, all bets might be off with regards to consolidation. If share price was to escalate to 30-50 cents, what then? Maybe a consolidation at 1 for 2? Pure conjecture. That's why management has a range in the consolidation proposal.

One final thought: Spider Resources management has issued this information on consolidation for one simple reason: they want the company to succeed. They may be paying the price for being the first into the Ring of Fire. In the beginning when no one was interested, Neil Novak had to do private placements "for a song". He's trying to rectify this situation to show true value for SPQ shares. 8 cents is a joke - pure and simple.

Good luck to all LONG SPQ shareholders. You deserve it.

All IMHO.

Comments welcome.
