I believe that the board of directors had the shareholder's best interest in mind when they came up with the idea of the RS. They saw the outstanding shares as a problem for attracting investors, and sought to use this means to resolve the issue.
However, what they failed to realize was the way the market reacts to such activities. Perhaps they should have consulted their marketing guys first. I am sure that the better option would have been to do the RS right away, then release good news results.
As far as your votes go, I am sure if you wanted to change your mind, there is a way to do this, and still time enough to do it, with 2 weeks left.
