It is always possible that a JV between NOT & SPQ could happen. However, I think NOT has too much on its plate to even think about SPQ. Besides, although SPQ has some very good hits to this point, I think it needs another one (a great one) before Noront would even consider a JV.

As we now have become aware, the NR by NOT this morning had a couple of problems. I must admit when I saw "windfall" in the title I was a little confused. So whoever put the NR together will probably have his/her knuckles rapped.

So the growing pains of NOT continue (this isn't unusual) and I don't think SPQ is in the picture.

Another thought is that some JVs are good; some are not so good. The JV with UC Resources is a real sweet one - especially for UC Resources [if it is ever finalized]. And yes, UC puts its money into exploring the numerous VMS anomalies, but gets a very nice percentage in return.

Finally, I think the UC Resources JV with SPQ might be having a "rough time" because of one of the SPQ directors - and his past history with UC. I'll let you figure that one out.
