Hi Snug
Infrastructure is the obvious way to go as those jobs can't be outsourced.
My opinion is that as long as the mining projects return the environ to the same condition as they as they started with ....then mining should be thought of as a way to increase infrastructure, jobs, education, as well as training.
Also on cleaning up the markets ...a giant step would be to prohibit "short" selling.
Short selling throws shares into the market that would not otherwise be for sale and thereby upsets the true basis of a seller for each buyer.
You have a buyer and a seller but some of the sellers aren't shareholders and sell stuff that isn't theirs to sell.
That reminds me of "fences"...that's what they do.
In the case of the "fence"...the goods are never given back whereas in the case of the shorts...they are often given back with less value.
So the fence doesn't give the goods back but the victim has insurance.
Make short selling a criminal offense and enforce it vigorously.
