I had a great discussion with Donypee this morning. He and Sudbury Novice are working Northern Ontario with regards to our Letter initiative to MPs.
Important news:
1) Tony Clement has responded to our letter (Thank you, Boatboy). He wants to be kept informed.
2) Alain Laplante (FEDNOR) has responded to my email. He writes:
"FedNor works closely with First Nation communities across Northern Ontario to ensure communities can benefit from any development opportunity that bolsters their local economies. This information will be forwarded to FedNor project officers who are responsible for this region."
3) I communicated with Joanne Jobin (F.I.R.M.) with regards to Alain Laplante's response. She is very appreciative and will apprised Neil Novak of our communications with FEDNOR.
4) I have FAX'd a modified copy of our Letter to Phil Fontaine (Grand Chief - Assembly of First Nations).
5) Donypee will endeavor to contact Angus Toulouse (Ontario Grand Chief - Assembly of First Nations) in Thunderbay.
6) 16 Conservative MPs contacted. Keep working it, folks. We need some more.
