In 2007, ArcelorMittal had revenues of $105.2 billion and crude steel production of 116 million tonnes, representing around 10 per cent of world steel output.

MINING

ArcelorMittal is focusing on its mining activities, in accordance with its integrated business model. This is part of a strategy to actively develop the raw material base, thereby raising the level of iron ore self-sufficiency to 75%.

The Group is today one of the largest producers of iron ore worldwide, for capture consumption, with mining activities in Algeria, Bosnia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Ukraine and the United States.

PRODUCTS

ArcelorMittal Mines Canada is Canada's leading supplier of iron ore to steel markets around the world, generating some 60 per cent of Canada's total production. ArcelorMittal Mines Canada produces about 19.3 million tonnes of iron ore concentrate and about 14.1 million tonnes of iron oxide pellots.

Nice choice, I can see that this was not just picked out of hat, this is one company that can stand up to the home plate and hit a home run. I,m sure there are others out there also. I have to admit that I have never heard of Cliffs before this and also ArcelorMittal.
